How do I fix "phantom" shower logs?

If your ShowerStar is recording showers that didn't happen (we call these "phantom showers"), don't worry—it’s usually a quick fix. This typically happens if the device needs a quick recalibration or if the mounting needs a slight adjustment.

Follow these simple steps to get your data back on track.

Step-by-step troubleshooting

1. Check your App version Ensure you have the latest version of the ShowerStar App downloaded from the Google Play Store or App Store.

2. Update your Firmware Open the app and check that you have the latest version of firmware uploaded to your ShowerStar device. Keeping this up to date ensures the smart flow detection works perfectly.

3. Check the mounting cradle Ensure the mounting cradle is fixed firmly to the shower pipe. The zip ties need to be fastened very tightly to detect the water flow vibrations accurately.

4. Check the device placement Ensure the ShowerStar unit is fully inserted into the mounting cradle. It should sit snugly without wobbling.

5. Recalibrate with Learn Mode Perform "Learn Mode" in the app. This helps the sensor learn the specific flow of your shower for accurate tracking.
