My ShowerStar isn't recording shower duration accurately. What should I do?
If your ShowerStar's readings seem a bit off, don't worry. It is usually a quick fix to get it back on track.
Often, inaccurate recording just means the device needs a little help relearning your shower's unique flow. Follow these simple steps to troubleshoot:
- Check your app is up to date. Head to the Google Play Store or App Store and ensure you have the latest version of the ShowerStar app installed.
- Check your firmware. Open the app and confirm your ShowerStar device has the latest firmware uploaded.
- Check the mounting. Ensure the mounting cradle is firmly attached to the shower pipe. The zip ties need to be fastened very tightly to detect the water flow accurately.
- Check the device position. Make sure the ShowerStar unit itself is fully inserted into the mounting cradle.
- Perform Learn Mode. This is the most effective step. Run Learn Mode through the app to help the sensor recalibrate to your specific shower.
