My ShowerStar isn't recording shower duration accurately. What should I do?

If your ShowerStar's readings seem a bit off, don't worry. It is usually a quick fix to get it back on track.

Often, inaccurate recording just means the device needs a little help relearning your shower's unique flow. Follow these simple steps to troubleshoot:

  1. Check your app is up to date Head to the Google Play Store or App Store and ensure you have the latest version of the ShowerStar app installed.

  2. Check your firmware Open the app and confirm your ShowerStar device has the latest firmware uploaded.

  3. Check the mounting Ensure the mounting cradle is firmly attached to the shower pipe. The zip ties need to be fastened very tightly to detect the water flow accurately.

  4. Check the device position Make sure the ShowerStar unit itself is fully inserted into the mounting cradle.

  5. Perform Learn Mode This is the most effective step. Run 'Learn Mode' through the app to help the sensor recalibrate to your specific shower.
