What do the coloured LED alerts on my ShowerStar mean?
ShowerStar features a simple system of coloured LEDs to notify you at different stages of each shower. This system acts as a "traffic light" guide—as easy as green, amber, red—using behavioural nudges to help you change your behaviour and take shorter, more water- and energy-efficient showers.
Visual Feedback Stages
Your ShowerStar is designed to provide visual feedback at specific moments to keep your shower on track. The LEDs will light up when:
-
Water flow is detected: The device auto-detects flow and turns on when the water runs.
-
Timer started: Confirmation that your session is being tracked.
-
Half-time: A gentle nudge that you are halfway through the recommended duration.
-
Full-time: An alert indicating you have reached the target duration.
-
Over-time: Notification that the shower has exceeded the recommended time.
App Connectivity
The ShowerStar communicates with the App via a Bluetooth connection. The LEDs may also indicate connection status whenever the App is connected to the device.
