What do the coloured LED alerts on my ShowerStar mean?
ShowerStar features a simple system of coloured LEDs to notify you at different stages of each shower. This system acts as a "traffic light" guide—as easy as green, amber, red—using behavioural nudges to help you change your behaviour and take shorter, more water- and energy-efficient showers.
Visual Feedback Stages
Your ShowerStar is designed to provide visual feedback at specific moments to keep your shower on track. The LEDs will light up when:
-
Blue - water flow has been detected. This can sometimes be triggered by voibration on teh shower pipe. If this is triggering frequntly you can disable the alert.
-
Green - timer has started. Shower is being timed and logged.
-
Amber - Half-time. A nudge you are halfway through your shower.
-
Red - Full-time: A nudge your time is up and time to get out of the shower.
-
Red - Over-time: A reminder you are overtime and its time to get out of the shower.
App Connectivity
The ShowerStar communicates with the App via a Bluetooth connection. The LEDs may also indicate connection status whenever the App is connected to the device.
