We had a super chat with @Charlie Brown from the Life & Technology Show.
Charlie has invested in solar panels and a battery which is great - this will help reduce his water heating costs significantly but this is only one part of the solution. Reducing flow rate with an efficient shower head and reducing shower duration are the two other things to focus on. Each of these is complimentary and will deliver savings but reducing shower duration is the easiest and most cost effective option that delivers the most 'bang for buck!'
